Tony Hall
Tony spent his childhood immersed in the worlds of Meccano and Lego and can still be ocassionally heard to say even now “shame the real thing isn’t as easy to fix..”. He really started his love of cars at age 16 when he left school and could start appreciating power and speed.
He started his apprenticeship at Axbridge Motors to NVQ2 level and completed his NVQ3 at Vauxhall Weston super Mare.
He spent a several years at Citroen and trained to be a MOT tester where he expanded his skills by completing his NVQ4 in Auto electrics.
Always looking for a more challenging role and to progress his skills, he joined the team at Volvo Truck and Bus gaining a broader knowledge of commercials, including spending some time working in Africa as a technical advisor. He carried on with his training wherever possible and eventually qualified as a Master Technician.
In 2008 he decided he was ready to progress further with the vast array of skills and technical abilities he had built up over many years in the car and commercial sector and started his own business going full-time in November 2009.
His conscientious and hard working attitude has seen Tony build the business up very quickly to a point where it has taken on new employees this year.
Tony enjoys mountain biking, walking the dog, off-roading and judo in his spare time.
Victoria Evans
Victoria has a personal passion for cars including driving them “too fast” as she’s been told often…!
Her working background couldn't be further away from the motor trade. Leaving school in 1994, she had a myriad of jobs while finding her area of expertise, which she found quite quickly was Advertising Sales. Although successful and good at her job, Victoria found it was no longer challenging and eventually chose to go to University to study Computing and Web design.
Since 2008 Victoria has been helping Tony build Tools Vehicle Electrics and focuses on the background of the business, from the website to Invoicing and from collecting customer’s vehicles to marketing and sales.
In her spare time she enjoys hiking with Tony and their Husky Tazor, visiting friends and family at home and abroad, or just curling up with a good book.
Laurie
Laurie will be joining Tools Vehicle Electrics from November 2010 and we are looking forward to adding his expertise and enthusiasm to the team.
After college Laurie started his apprenticeship and became fully qualified to NVQ3 level and also a BTEC National diploma at Volvo Truck and Bus. 7 years later he left Volvo Truck and Bus but has continued independently working on various makes of Heavy and Light commercial vehicles for the last 5 years including Scania and Renault.
When he’s not working he spends his time practicing kick boxing and judo or out working on his own cars, and of course like all of us, he enjoys socialising with friends and family.
